Open a demat account
Demat Account is an account that is used to hold shares and securities in electronic format.The full form of Demat account is a dematerialised account.
The purpose of opening a Demat account is to hold shares that have been bought or dematerialised (converted from physical to electronic shares), thus making share trading easy for the users during online trading.In Nepal,you can open Demat Account from banks like Nabil,NIC,NMB,Prahbu bank,etc
You need following documents to open DEMAT account.
a. Copy of citizenship
b. One passport sized photo
c. Address Proof: Copy of electricity bill/lalpurja/rent agreement, etc.
Open Meroshare Account
Meroshare is an online portal of CDSC (Central Depository System and Clearing Ltd ) which provides the details of share transactions with their Demat account.To open Meroshare accountvisit the nearest bank or any capitals that have authorized to give the service.
DP (Depositary participants) might be banks, Merchant bankers or Brokers where you have taken the service of Demat. The easiest way would be to go for the bank where you have your account.
You need following documents to open Meroshare Account-
- Photocopy Of Your Citizenship
- Passport Size Photo
- Bank Account Number
- Demat Account Number
Open Mobile Banking Or Internet Banking
Visit your bank to open Mobile Banking Or Internet banking.This service allows you to make online transaction while buying shares.
Open Connect IPS Account
Connect IPS is a single payments platform that allows the customers to link their bank account(s) to enable payment processor, fund transfer and biller payments.
An extended product of Nepal Clearing House to support citizen-to-government (C2G), customer-to-business (C2B) and peer-to-peer (P2P) payment transactions directly from/to the bank accounts. This is available on both web channel and mobile app.
You’ll need Connect IPS to Deposit Fund online on NEPSE TMS.
To register a new account please visit CREATE ACCOUNT
After creating account & filling up your identity you can link your bank with connect IPS & download a form(after linking bank account) & submit to your bank.It’ll take around 1 to 2 days to succesfully connect your account.
Find A Good Stock Broker
There are 50+ stock brokers licensed by NEPSE & few stock brokers offices outside Valley.Once you open an account with a stock broker, they will provide you with a unique ID code via which all the transactions in your name will be executed.
To create account you’ll need to fillup KYC form & submit it to your broker
Following documents are needed-
•Photocopy Of Citizenship
•Passport Size Photo
After few days you’ll get your NEPSE trading login details.
